Ramsau am Dachstein is in the province of Styria, the so called "green heart of Austria". This sunny plateau at the foot of the majestic Dachstein mountain range enjoys great popularity as a holiday resort for both, summer and winter season.

Explore the “three levels” of Ramsau

On an altitude of 1000 to 1200 metres lays the so called "Ahorntal" (maple valley), that is the plateau itself with its pretty village. Ramsau actually spreads out on about 18 km length and 4 km width Roads and paths for walking and hiking are to be found here. Not only outdoors, but also relaxation is offered - such as an indoor pool with  sauna for your well being. This is the "1st level".

From about 1600 to 1900 metres of altitude, around the Türlwand, there are picturesque pastures, mountain huts and manifold hiking as well as sports possibilities. This region represents the "2nd level".

Finally the "3rd level", on an altitude of 2700 m above sea level, on the Dachstein glacier. Up there should be the perfect place for all mountaineers, alpine skiers, cross country skiers and snowboarders from all over the world.
