Alpine and cross country skiing, horse sleigh riding in winter

Ramsau in winter

Also during winter, Ramsau am Dachstein has much to offer:

Not only the well and daily prepared cross country and skating tracks, which by the way count more than 150 km, but also almost the same length of winter paths for hiking and horse sleigh riding are at the guests disposal.

Just around the corner of the Schütterhofes, you find the ski, cross country and snowboard school "Ramsau West", which also has a great ski kindergarten, if you wish the kids are also looked after during lunch break. Beginners do their first "steps" on skis right beside the house, while advanced skiers will train and get more experience on the Rittisberg, a few hundred metres away.

With one single skipass which is valid for the entire skiing region "Ski Amade", guests also can enjoy the lifts and gondolas for the downhill runs of the nearby Planai, Reiteralm, Hochwurzen, Hauser Kaibling and so on. A shuttle service which is for free with the ski pass is available.

Snowshoe hikes, winter walks, toboggan runs on illuminated slopes and après ski ensure that you also have much to do in case of bad weather.
